THE STALLIONS claimed the championship title of the third season of the Elite Basketball Club – Toledo after hacking the Lions, 79-65, last Friday at the CEDC Multi-purpose Gym in Toledo City.
The Stallions clawed back from a Game 1 loss to the Lions in their best-of-three finals series by winning the last two games, including a default victory in Game 2.
Jolito Dumalagan proved why he is the season MVP as he fired 24 points, grabbed four boards, and picked up two steals to lead the Stallions, who led by as many as 13 points at the end of the third quarter.
Warren Mahilum and Reynan Baricar backed up Dumalagan, who also took home the finals MVP honors, with 15 and 10 points, respectively.
Richard Nebres carried the Lions with 20 points and eight rebounds while Manuel Mamac Jr. chipped in 11 markers.
