THE five police officers who were reassigned to patrol duty in Fuente Osmeña for allegedly maltreating a woman will start their patrols today.
Senior Supt. Royina Garma, Cebu City police chief, said their reassignment continues pending the results of an investigation into the incident by their Investigation Detective Management Branch.
“Our salaries are already doubled so I don’t want any police officers slacking on their jobs,” she said.
In the province 10 police officers including a police precinct chief will be relieved from their posts at the end of this month.
Senior Supt. Manuel Abrugena, Cebu provincial police chief, said the police officers were evaluated to be performing sub par in their duties.
