Operators of the 20,000 registered Public Utility Jeepney (PUJ) in Central Visayas are expected to receive within the month cash cards from DOTR’s Pantawid Pasada Program.
Each of the cash cards will contain P833 monthly fuel allowance from the national government.
The Pantawid Pasada Program is intended to subsidize the additional fuel cost of the 179,852 units or all of the legitimate PUJ units with existing LTFRB franchise nationwide since the implementation of the Train Law.
LTFRB-7 Regional Director Ahmed Cuizon said they are still waiting for the final guidelines from their Central Office and the release of cash cards from Land Bank.
