Cebu City Hall teams up with bus group for relief drive

Cebu City Vice Mayor Edgardo Labella announced today that the city’s ”Libreng Biyahe sa Norte” will be stopped because the city’s Kaohsiung buses will be used for relief operations for the typhoon victims in northern Cebu today.

The vice mayor said the Cebu Provincial Bus Operators Association together with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) were also giving free rides from Cebu City to northern Cebu.

According to the Cebu City Information Office, donations for typhoon victims are likewise accepted in the mayor’s office at the ground floor in Cebu City Hall.

The Cebu City government will conduct relief goods operations starting today and will send representatives to other areas affected by super typhoon Yolanda for damage assessment.
