SINULOG Festival Queen 2018 Shaila Mae Rebortera has clinched the Miss Millennial Philippines 2018 title.
Rebortera succeeded Miss Millennial Philippines 2017 Julia Gonowon of Camarines Sur during the Grand Coronation Day yesterday live on ”Eat Bulaga!”
“Our Miss Millennial Philippines 2018 Grand Winner— Miss Millennial Cebu 2018 Shaila Mae Rebortera,” Eat Bulaga announced on its
Facebook page yesterday.
A Talisay City native, Rebortera represented Cebu and bested 39 other candidates from different provinces in the Philippines.
Her court includes Danna Rose Socaoco of Misamis Oriental (first runner-up), Chanel Villamor Corpuz of Abra (second runner-up), and Marrielle Sarmiento of Oriental Mindoro (third runner-up).
Marela Glospeah Caro Juaman of South Cotabato was also named as Miss Millenial Bayanihan Queen 2018.
Miss Millennial Philippines is one of the segments of GMA’s noontime show “Eat Bulaga!”
Rebortera is the second Cebuana who joined Miss Millennial Philippines after Sarah Elizabeth Madrigal of Lapu-Lapu City in 2017.
The 22-year-old Cebuana beauty queen is not a newbie in pageantry.
She finished second runner-up in Reyna ng Aliwan 2018 and placed runner-up in Miss Cebu 2016.
A dentistry student from Cebu Doctors University (CDU), Rebortera is known for her “The Toothbrush Project” that gives free toothbrushes to children and teaches them proper oral hygience.
After the announcement, Cebuanos and Kapuso stars congratulated Rebortera for winning the pageant.
“That’s My Bae” grand winner Kenneth Earl Medrano on his Facebook account said, “YESSSS!!! Basta taga CEBU ka di gyud ka papildi! Hahaha Nice!! Congrats Shaila Rebortera!! Daghan nata Bisaya diris Eat Bulaga! Haha #PROUDCEBUANO.”
Miss Eco International 2018 Cynthia Thomalla also congratulated Rebortera through an Instagram story.
“Congratulations,” Thomalla said while posting Rebortera’s photo.
