Police nab motorcycle-for-hire driver illegal drugs

Cebu City, Philippines— A motorcycle-for-hire driver was arrested for illegal drugs on Monday dawn, May 6, 2019, in Barangay Tisa here.

Operatives from the Drug Enforcement Unit of Labangon Police (Station 10) nabbed 36-year-old Arniel Abayan along F. Llamas Street at around 4 a.m.

Seized from the suspect was 180 grams of alleged illegal drugs worth an estimated P1.2 million. 

Police Major Keith Allen Andaya, station commander of the Labangon Police, spearheaded the anti-illegal drugs operation that led to the arrest of Abayan.

Andaya said they have been monitoring Abatan’s activities for about a week before the operation. /bmjo
