6 ways to celebrate Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is an occasion which is celebrated yearly, every second Sunday of May to respect, honor, and love our dear mothers. Mother’s Day is the special day to acknowledge the efforts of every mother’s role in society.  Depending on what your Mom likes, there are several fun ways to celebrate Mother’s Day with her.

It’s still Sunday, May 12, so you still have time to catch up and celebrate Mother’s Day with your Mommy.

Here are six ideas for you to choose from:

  • Spend brunch or dinner together. It so happens that Mother’s Day falls on a Sunday, which is also the universal day for mouthwatering brunch. Treat Mommy to her favorite place!
  • Treat her to a lavish makeover. Make Mom feel like the queen that she is by giving her a well-deserved makeover. Nothing boosts up her confidence more than making her look and feel fabulous.
  • Bake desserts.  Mother’s Day wouldn’t be complete without indulging in something sweet. If your mom loves to bake, whip something up together, or bake something sweet yourself and surprise her with it. Nothing says, “You’re the best” like a cake.
  • Go swimming. Help Mom spend time at the beach and enjoy the great outdoors. Take advantage of the summer weather and spend the day relaxing by the seashore and then take a relaxing swim after. If a beach trip is too far, then opt for the pool.
  • Plan a picnic. We’re sure mom would very much like some fun under the sun with her favorite people. Flowers will definitely be blooming, making a stroll through a nearby garden, it’ll be a refreshing and thoughtful way to celebrate her on Mother’s Day.
  • Make dinner. Mother’s Day is all about letting mom relax. That means she shouldn’t be cleaning the house, breaking up sibling squabbles, or cooking the family’s meals. Although you could treat her to a nice dinner at a restaurant, you could go the extra step and cook her a delicious Mother’s Day dinner.

It doesn’t take much effort to make your Mom feel like you whole-heartedly care for her. You just need to make a conscious effort to go beyond the ordinary and let your actions speak louder than your words. After the end of the day, no matter how much time you spent with your mom, it’s still important to constantly remind her that you are grateful for her existence. / celr
