Robbers overpower security guard
TWO men overpowered a security guard of a drug store in barangay Inayawan in Cebu City and ran away with P20,000 cash past noon yesterday.
The security guard of La Nueva Pharmacy, Argie Batiller, could not repel the two attackers, who were armed with a .45 cal. pistol and a .38 cal. revolver, as his service firearm had no bullets.
The suspects easily disarmed the security guard and took his gun away.
“Kataw-anan kaayo kay way sud nga bala ang armas sa guard (It was funny because the security guard’s firearm had no bullets),” said Chief Insp. Alexis Relado.
Relado said one of the robbers was limping.
The pharmacy is about 100 meters from the Inayawan Barangay Hall.
The robbers fled toward the South Road Properties on board an XRM motorcycle.
