A 27-YEAR-OLD man was fatally stabbed by his neighbor in barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City.
Golliat Augusto succumbed to stab wounds in the chest and neck.

Police said that another neighbor identified the suspect as Stephen Ababa, 23.
Police are still investigating the motive behind the attack.

Police said that the victim was seen past 10 p.m. Thursday aboard a trisikad along with his live-in partner Jean Grace Atillo, 20.

Augusto disembarked from the trisikad and instructed the woman to go home as he was still meeting someone.

A few minutes later, Augusto was heard shouting for help.

The witness then informed Atillo that Augusto had been stabbed by Ababa.

The woman rushed to the crime scene and found a bloodied Augusto slumped on the ground.

Augusto was already dead when police arrived.

Police went to the suspect’s house but he was not around.
