Palma: Repentance, obedience to God

By: Michelle Joy L. Padayhag April 14,2014 - 02:04 AM

WITH yesterday’s start of the Holy Week observance, Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma urged the faithful to make their own sacrifices and join in the Church’s commemoration.

In yesterday’s Palm Sunday Mass at the Blessed John Seminary XXIII in Mabolo, Cebu City Palma called on the faithful to repent and change for the better.

“This is an opportunity of grace and renewal. This is also chance for us to know more about God’s love and to grow in his grace,” he said.

Palma is also thankful that Cebu has its own saint, Saint Pedro Calungsod who went to Guam and experienced the grace of preaching the teachings of the Lord.

“We should all be saints so we can say Lord, thank you for our new life. We preach as part of the Lord’s sacrifice and then we become saints because of His grace,” he added.
