FORENSIC experts continue to search for clues in the death of a Korean couple and their daughter found inside a restaurant they own in barangay Maribago in Lapu-Lapu City.

Police identified the fatalities as Ho An, his wife, Kim Soo Nok and daughter, Young Mi An.
Their bodies bore stab wounds.

Kim Se Wong, said to be the husband of the daughter Young, was found with slit wrists on the restaurant’s second floor. He was rushed by police to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.
Police said they suspect Kim was the perpetrator of the killing and had attempted to commit suicide.

According to PO1 Celso Yanong and PO1 Joe Marie Villar of the tourist police unit of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, they were alerted by a call from Sharon Inting, security guard of Han Ga Wi Korean Restaurant in Bagumbayan 1.

Inting said the crime was discovered when a Korean woman went to the restaurant at around 5 p.m. looking for a friend. When they went to the establishment’s back door, they saw a trail of blood.

Police forced open the restaurant’s door and saw the bodies of the family members sprawled on the floor.

They then found Kim sitting on a bed when they rushed to the second floor. Police said Kim reeked of alcohol when they took him to the hospital.

“Klaro kaayong dunay nag-away,” said PO2 Edward Sobrio. (It’s clear there was a fight.)
Security guard Inting told Cebu Daily News she had no idea there was trouble when she reported for duty at noon. She said another security guard, Junior Eborda who was on duty from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. told her that the Korean owners were overheard having an argument inside the locked restaurant. According to Eborda’s logbook entry, the commotion stopped at around 3 a.m.
