UC METC partners with Talisay

In view of its social and environmental responsibilities, the University of Cebu-Maritime Education and Training Center has been promoting partnerships with government and non-government organizations. These partnerships emphasize skills and livelihood training, education and the development of a culture of peace. Recently, the City of Talisay and UC-METC forged a two-year partnership in for community extension services specifically on concerns in environmental awareness and protection, solid waste management, safety trainings, information technology and social issues. UC-METC shall provide student-volunteers, faculty-volunteers and non-teaching volunteers in the conduct of Extension Services in all development activities in Talisay City. Talisay City and UC-METC will also plan, implement, monitor and evaluate extension services, programs and projects.
