FR. FERNANDO Suarez easily copped his second straight crown in the 6th Fr. Suarez Cup last Sunday at the Citigreen Tennis Resorts.
The tournament founder Suarez bagged anew the 46 to 55 years old singles title after Fr. Alvin Codilla defaulted in their scheduled finals showdown.
Codilla suffered cramps before they could play in the finals and decided to forego the game in favor of Suarez.
The 56-and-above title was snared by Fr. Jose Dosado Jr. of Mabolo, Cebu City after he ousted Fr. Dominggo Tapic, 8-4, in the finals.
Fr. Neil Sureta took the 45-below title in another effortless manner as his foe Fr. Arnel Haber, was still seeing action in a doubles match when their game was called.
Haber paired with Fr. Jerry Pascual to take home the open doubles title after beating the pair of Frs. Fernando Sotto and Antonio Zamora, 8-5.
The winners will get all-expense paid trips to Rome and motorcycles.
