Sugbuanons bag South Bowl crown

CEBU Sugbuanons clinched the inaugural crown of the South Bowl 2015: First Regional Flag Football Championships, which ended last Sunday at the Camp Lapu-Lapu field in barangay Apas, Cebu City.
The Sugbuanons edged out the Cebu Niños, 13-12, to cap a successful campaign. The Sugbuanons clinched a final seat disposing of the Dumaguete Mad Dogs, 28-7.
The Niños earned the right to play the Sugbuanons in the championship round by thrashing the Ozamis Wolves, 26-14.
The Mad Dogs put up a tough stand in the wild card matches, beating the Iligan Hawks, 43-6, to book a semifinal slot. The Ozamis Wolves won over Iligan Titans,15-0, to make it to the semifinal round.
Six teams coming from the Visayas and Mindanao regions competed in the two-day tournament, which aimed to foster camaraderie and unity among flag football teams and clubs in the country.
