A 70-YEAR-OLD Australian was found dead in his condominium unit in Cebu City.
The body of Richard Gibbs was already in the state of decomposition when found by his Filipina girlfriend and a worker of the City Ultima Residences in Ramos Street.
Police said it was the girlfriend, a certain Wella, who asked the building management to help her check on the Australian at 5 p.m. Sunday.
Wella said Gibbs, a native of Sydney, Australia, had not been responding to her phone calls and texts.
The Australian was found on top of a bed with various medicines near him.
Police said the Australian had health problems.
There were no indications that foul play was involved in the foreigner’s death, said SPO4 Rey Cuyos, homicide investigator of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO).
