P-Noy in Cebu today for APEC finance ministers’ meeting
President Benigno Aquino III will be in Cebu today to give the welcome address for delegates attending
the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Finance Ministers’ Meeting and Related Meetings at the
Shangri-La’s Mactan Island Resort and Spa.
He is expected to arrive at the venue at 2 p.m.
A photo opportunity will follow right after his speech. Only 50 accredited media outfits are allowed to
cover, including nine outfits from the local media.
He will leave Cebu after his engagement, said Philippine Information Agency assistant regional director
Fayette Riñen.
The APEC Finance and Central Bank Deputies’ Meeting is scheduled today. It will tackle issues on
global economic and financial outlook, the growing inequality and regional connectivity and integration
as well as the Cebu Action Plan.
