The Supportsave Dragons drew another solid game from Niño Belande in hacking out an 89-75 win over the Contact Solutions El-Slazenger last Sunday in the 11th City Sports Club-Cebu (CSC-C) E-League for Basketball at the CSC-C Gym.

The 14-point victory pushed the Dragons to a two-way tie at the top of the EVO League standings as they caught up with the Telstra-Teletech Boomerangs with their seventh win against a single loss.

Belande was in his usual productive form, scoring 23 points, grabbing 15 rebounds and tallying one assist and a steal.

Jerard Dela Cerna and Roberto Castro Jr. topped the El-Slazenger, who dropped to 1-7 (win-loss), with 22 and 17 points, respectively.

In other EVO League matches, the Teletech Titans dumped the 1&1 Marauders, 94-55; the Calltek Trojans nipped the Results Spartans, 71-60; while the Author Solutions Inc. (ASI) Hardbacks prevailed over the 24/7 Cagers, 99-84.

Jonas Concepcion scored 22 points, Jervis Pino Sildura wound up with 19 markers, Carly Brylle Samson pitched in 18, while Shemaiah Roi Moliva and Celso Jayme donated 13 apiece in the Titans’ second victory in eight games.

Arnel Manahan scored 11 markers, the lone player to score in double figures for the Marauders, who slid to 1-7.

Leading the Trojans’ fourth win in eight games were Patrick Jamlan and Aerl Genebraldo, who cashed in 23 and 22 markers, respectively.

Jade Seno unloaded 24 points, while Joshua Dave Panis tallied 11 markers but the Spartans tasted their third defeat in eight matches.
