A MAN driving a motorcycle was killed after he hit a crossing pedestrian in Carmen town, northern Cebu last Wednesday morning.

Police identified the fatality as Jerson Sala, a resident of barangay Luyang where the accident happened.

Police said Sala tried to overtake another motorcycle when hit Isidro Nipa Sr., 52.

The impact threw Sala off his motorcycle.

Sala was declared dead when he and Nipa were brought to the Carmen District Hospital.  Nipa was later transferred to a hospital in Cebu City but later died due to the severity of his injuries.

SPO2 Simplicio Gibo said a .45 caliber pistol was recovered from the U-box of Sala’s motorcycle.
