A 69-YEAR-OLD widower was shot dead in his home in barangay Biasong, Talisay City, southern Cebu.
Rudolfo Cuyos Jr. suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the body. He was declared dead at the Talisay City District Hospital.
PO3 Jonel Ater said it was around 6 a.m. when an assailant broke into the man’s house and peppered the victim with bullets.
Eight spent shells of a .45 caliber pistol were recovered in the house.
PO3 Ater said a land dispute is one of the possible motives being looked into.
Police said that according to some relatives, the victim had received threats for refusing to vacate the place where his house stood.
