Bystanders maul man after burglary in Zapatera

A 27-YEAR-OLD man was mauled by bystanders after he allegedly robbed a house in barangay Zapatera, Cebu City.

Bernard Blanco was accused of breaking into the  house of Marie Ann Tobes on General Echavez Street.

Tobes said a laptop worth P25,000 and a speaker worth P1,000 were stolen Wednesday night.

Tobes sought help from tanods, who then ran after the supsected burglar.

Police said bystanders helped corner Blanco and mauled him.

Police said the stolen items were recovered from Blanco, who was detained at Cebu City Police Office (CCPO).
