Two persons, including one of the top ten drug personalities of Lapu-Lapu City, were arrested in a buy-bust operation in barangay Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City.
Shabu worth almost P130,000 was confiscated.
Joel Paquibot, 40, and his friend Rey John Cano, 28, are detained at the Lapu-Lapu City police stockade pending the filing of charges against them.
Chief Insp. Mark Gifter Sucalit said Paquibot was No. 5 in their watchlist of drug personalities who has evaded several police operations.
A poseur-buyer bought a sachet of shabu from Paquibot for P200 in marked money and later arrested him.
Packs of shabu and drug paraphernalia were confiscated from his house, said police. While police were conducting an inventory, Cano appeared and signaled that he wanted to buy shabu. He tried to flee but police arrested him.
