ABOUT 28 drug suspects were arrested while more than half a million pesos worth of shabu were seized in anti-drug operations in the cities of Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu during the Holy Week.

At the Canduman police precinct in Mandaue City, Chief Insp. Aldrin Villacampa said among those arrested was 29-year-old Roselle Cabatingan, a resident of Barangay Tawason and a level three drug dealer.

Cabatingan had a P150,000 bounty on his head.

“Although it’s Holy Week but we continue to conduct operations that resulted to the arrest of these suspects,” said Senior Supt. Roberto Alanas, Mandaue City police chief.

In Lapu-Lapu City, 14 drug suspects were arrested and P500,706 worth of shabu were seized during operations.

Senior Supt. Rommel Cabagnot, Lapu-Lapu City police chief, said their personnel are still patrolling port areas, tourist sites, hotels and resort areas for criminal suspects.
