A SUSPECTED drug peddler was killed in a shootout during a buy-bust operation in Mandaue City Tuesday evening.

39-year old Ariel Parcon allegedly drew a handgun and fought against arresting officers from the Mandaue City Intelligence Branch.

Police Supt. Bernauli Abalas, head of CIB, said his team conducted the buy-bust operation against Parcon who was allegedly selling illegal drugs in Barangay Jagobiao.

Abalas said they tried to warn Parcon from firing his gun and evading arrest. Parcon, however, retaliated.

Police seized three sachets of suspected shabu from the suspect. A .38 revolver with live ammunition was also seized from his possession.

Abalas also revealed that Parcon is the alleged leader of the Lapad robbery group operating in Mandaue City

Parcon’s group used to victimize women, but has now shifted to illegal drug trade.
