Netizens, the storm and the grounded tugboat

Netizens are wondering about how a tugboat that ran aground in Lawis Ledge on Friday was allowed to set sail despite the Coast Guard order not to allow sea vessels to leave port as Tropical Storm Vinta, which has wreaked havoc in Mindanao, also affected the Visayas, with Cebu being placed under Signal Number 1 at the time of the tugboat incident.

A netizen named Alan Schmidt wrote, “How in the world did this tugboat be on the waters during a storm, Pagasa already made several announcements!”

Flora Gumapao wrote, “Nag warning na ang Pagasa, wala gihapon naminaw. Ngano diay ni siya (Pagasa already issued a warning. Why did the crew not listen to the warning)?”

While Nica Tampus wrote, “This needs to be investigated, if kusog jud kaau ang hangin, hagbay ra guro ni silang nalunod, kinsa diay ang nag palarga ani nila oi (This needs to be investigated, if the wind is strong then they could have sunk. Who allowed them to set sail)?”
