PAJO FIRE

Netizens have nothing but sympathy for the still undetermined number of persons who were left homeless by the fire that hit Barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu on Friday afternoon, which razed around 300 houses.

The fire alarm was received by the Lapu-Lapu City Fire Central District at 5:10 p.m. It was raised to “general alarm” at 5:30 p.m., which meant that all nearby fire units were being asked to help douse the fire.

Sophia Kim Buquia Archival wrote, “ugdaw jud aq geboardingan sauna 8yrs q kapuyo, h0pe q mga ka boardmate mga kaila nku b4 nga naa jap0n ddto, unta okey ra sila” (My boarding house for 8 years was burned down. To my ex-boardmates, I hope you are okay.)

A netizen named Joah Cooper Lim said, “I hope no one died.”

SheinAmor Merino Tajo commented, “Sunog, sitio Paradise, Pajo, Lapu lapu city.. may untag di modako ang sunog..” (I hope the Paradise, Pajo blaze won’t get bigger.)
