A couple who are alleged leaders of the “Salisi” group were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City on Tuesday evening.
Authorities arrested Alexander Tapirla, 48, and his 38-year-old wife, Joan Tapirla, for illegal possession and selling of illegal drugs.
Senior Insp. Raymundo Enriquez Jr., chief of Canduman police station, said that they conducted the operation after receiving a report from a concerned citizen about their illegal activities.
Confiscated from the couples were one medium pack and five small-sized sachets of suspected shabu.
The police chief also urged the victims of the couples to file additional charges against them.
The suspects are now detained at Canduman police precinct pending the filing of drug charges against them.
