Fusion Nights offers cultural parade, international dishes

July 17,2014 - 12:34 PM

Bohol Sandugo 2014 is an opportunity for Bohol to regain its image as a prime tourist destination and a choice investment location nine months after the 7.2 magnitude earthquake.

The challenge is to make Sandugo this year more exciting and appealing, more vibrant and encompassing.

Sandugo 2014 aims to attract greater attention, illicit heightened interest, spark enthusiasm and creativity, and generate voluntary involvement, community engagement, and even multicultural and international participation.

The growing foreign residents in the province can be encouraged to get actively involved in the celebration as organizers aim to showcase the best that they can offer to visitors and guests.

The International Fusion Nights on July 20-26 at the Plaza Rizal across the Provincial Capitol in Tagbilaran City is an opportunity to bring in an added attraction to the month-long festivities, featuring a cultural parade and exchange of the flavor, beauty and color brought about by diversity, amity and connectivity.

During a one-week period, a limited number of 18 food stalls will be set up at the Plaza Rizal Square, offering international dishes for locals and tourists alike.

This is being organized by the Bohol provincial government through the Bohol Investment Promotion Center and the Bohol Association of Hotels, Resorts and Restaurants, with the local government units of Anda and Panglao, Bellevue, BISU and Cristal-e College as co-presenters, and the Philippine Retirement Authority, Coca-Cola and San Miguel Brewery as sponsors.
