Kenyans rule Run for Juan

Kenyan Isaac Simat led a 1-2 finish for the Kenyans in the 10-kilometer race of the Run For Juan 2014: Takbo Para Sa Pagbangon last Saturday afternoon at the South Road Properties.

Simat clocked 34 minutes and 21 seconds to win the men’s 10K race together with Douglas Mwiti, who clocked 34:54 to finish second place.  Riez Enriquez came in at third with a time of 36:30.

Ruffa Sorongan crossed the finish line in 53:01 to top the women’s side. Nora Villamor (56:56) and Miraflor Gimenez (1:03:42) finished second and third, respectively.

Winners in the 5K division were Bernardo Joseph Anthony Bea (male) and Monica Palugod (female). The 3K winners were Ferg Ravenas (male) and Jakes Katheriene Abad (female).
