A suspected robber was injured after he was shot by pursuing policemen yesterday morning.

Suspect Luciano Saramosing Jr., 27, was wounded in the legs and was brought to the  Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.

Saramosing allegedly robbed Flying V gasoline station in barangay Pandacan, Pinamungajan town at around 9 a.m.

Saramosing was a pillion rider on a motorcycle that stopped by the station to gas up.

Since the gasoline boy was still having breakfast, the cashier, Melanie Miñoza, left the counter to attend to the customer.

Without her knowledge, Saramosing went inside the cashier’s booth and took the P3,000 proceeds.

Saramosing ran towards his residence in barangay Rizal.

Miñoza immediately called the police and asked for help. She identified Saramosing as he is a known  basketball player of the town.

PO2 Fruilan Velasquez and PO1 Alberto Divas immediately responded and caught up with Saramosing.

They were forced to shoot him as the suspect allegedly aimed his .38 cal. gun at them.
