Cebu City Councilor Alvin Dizon proposed an ordinance establishing guidelines for the city’s donation drives.
If approved, the ordinance will cover any “organized effort to accomplish a specific purpose by soliciting, raising or gathering money, food, medicines, clothing, and other items for the benefit of a specific group of persons, entity or institution”.
Dizon said the ordinance is applicable only to the donation drives undertaken by the Cebu City government.
