A 75-year-old woman was arrested in Carcar city southern Cebu for the second time for allegedly selling illegal drugs.

Police said they seized  shabu worth P300,000 from the house of Beatriz Fernandez Secretaria in barangay Bolinawan.

Police also  arrested  her daughter Ethel Intong and  Ethel’s  husband Marcelo, Regino Cabaluna Jr. and Greg Delantar.

The raid was based on a warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Soliver Peras.

Secretaria was arrested last April for the same offense but was able to post bail.

Secretaria said she was forced to sell illegal drugs so she could buy medicine for her hypertension.

She  said  her supply came from a  certain King from Badian town and that she was able to earn  P10,000 a day from selling it.

In Lapu-Lapu City, packs of suspected shabu worth   P2.5 million were seized from a man  tagged by police as a level two pusher.

Briagn Mori Singson, 34, and his companion Reyjan Berdon Esmalin, 33, were arrested by operatives of the City Intelligence Branch in a buy-bust operation last Thursday night.

Police said Singson  sold a medium-sized pack of  shabu to a decoy  outside his house in barangay Looc.

PO2 Jovil Tejana said nine  packs of  shabu and a KG9 submachine gun were seized from Singson.

Four medium-sized packs and a .38 revolver were  also seized from Esmalin.

Singson admitted selling illegal drugs for a year now  “tungod sa kawad-on (because of poverty).”

Police said  Singson was capable of selling at least 200 grams of shabu a week.
