Mega Decision forum postponed

THE Mega Decision 2016 Presidential Forum that was supposedly scheduled on Thursday is postponed indefinitely.

Carol Ballesteros, Mega Cebu communication and stakeholders relationship manager, said in a press conference yesterday that only Liberal Party (LP) presidential candidate Mar Roxas confirmed to attend.

“What we agreed before was to have at least three presidential candidates on the forum,” Ballesteros said.

The decision came after a meeting was held yesterday with Mega Cebu and the Caucus of Development NGO Networks (CODE-NGO).

“Let us wait when are they available for the forum,” Ballesteros said, citing the preparations of different stakeholders.

Last Friday, Rep. Ace Durano of Cebu’s 5th district said Sen. Grace Poe could not attend because the forum falls on the same day as the Mamasapano hearing.

“Senator Grace is willing to attend if there would be another scheduled forum,” Ballesteros said.

Vice President Jejomar Binay could not also attend because he has another forum to attend at Diamond Hotel. Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama informed the organizers about this. Sen. Miriam

Santiago earlier said she could not attend because of prior commitments.

Ballesteros advised those who have tickets to wait for further announcements on new date and venue.
