Another allegedly notorious drug pusher was arrested in Consolacion town in Cebu province by operatives of the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in the province.

Chief Inspector Maximo Sumeg-ang Jr., chief of CIDG-Cebu, said that Jade Anthony Judaya, listed as a level two drug pusher in Consolacion, was arrested in a buy operation in the town’s Barangay Tugbungan at 11:40 a.m. on Wednesday.

Judaya was arrested at his uncle’s house together with another alleged drug pusher, Nilo Judilla, Sumeg-ang said.

According to Sumeg-ang, Judaya has no pending arrest warrant and had apparently been keeping a low profile, as he was monitored to have stopped selling drugs for some time.

It was only on Wednesday that he was finally caught in the act of selling a repacked shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride).

Both the arrested men did not surrender to the police during its Oplan Tokhang, a police campaign that involves knocking at the houses of drug personalities and asking them to surrender.

At least six grams of shabu with an estimated worth of P24,000 was taken from their possession together with the P1,000 cash buy bust money. Another P1,200 cash, believed to be the sales from their earlier drug transactions, was taken from Judaya.

Charges of possession and selling of illegal drugs will be filed against Judaya while a charge of possession of illegal drugs will be filed against Judilla, Sumeg-ang said.
