THE QBE Generals and the Supportsave Dragons kept their unbeaten starts going after they posted separate wins last Saturday in the EVO League of the City Sports Club-Cebu (CSC-C) E-League for Basketball at the CSC-C Gym.

The Generals tightened their grip on the No. 1 spot in the standings by whipping The Results Spartans, 87-78, while the Dragons solidified their hold on second place with a 79-61 trashing of the Kyocera Frontiers.

QBE improved to 6-0 (win-loss) behind the stellar game of Christopher James Durango, who collected 21 points, 10 assists, four steals and two rebounds.

Jade Seno fired 21 markers, Carl Atay chipped in 15, Jude Arthur Go tallied and Winston Pacaldo and Neil Jun Pacres scored 10 points each for the Spartans, who slumped to their fourth loss against a single victory.

Niño Belande, on the other hand, came up with a stellar game to lead the Dragons’ fourth straight win as he finished with 25 points, 19 boards, five assists, three steals and a block.

Winston Stephen Panal scattered 25 points in the Frontiers’ second loss in six matches.

In other games, the United Health Group Cobars snatched their second win in five outings after they spanked the Teletech Titans, 73-67, while the Dyninno Raptors evened up their record to 3-3 via a 62-57 triumph over the Blue Ocean Pirates.

Joseph Juariza topped the Cobras with 25 points, while Orville Tipon added 16.

Jervis Pino Sildura had 15 points and 12 rebounds but the Titans couldn’t end their woes and absorbed their fifth debacle in as many games.

Dyninno, for its part, leaned on Ron Mabanto, who delivered 22 points. Raymond Dennis Tan scored 18 points for the Pirates, who crashed to 1-4.
