Motorcycle rider escapes death in Mandaue

A MOTORCYCLE rider nearly got run over by a dump truck at MC Briones highway in barangay Tipolo, Mandaue City at past 3 pm Monday.

Lionel Adena, a 24-year-old resident of barangay Tipolo, Mandaue City sustained scratches on his arms and knees after jumping off his motorcycle on seeing the truck in front of him and falling on the pavement.

Dump truck driver Arnel Villanel, a 33-year-old resident of Campo 4 in Talisay City claimed he was unaware of Adena’s presence in front of his vehicle and moved forward after seeing the other vehicles in front of him.

He said he managed to stop the truck after motorists caught his attention. Adena’s motorcycle got damaged. Both agreed to settle the case just settled the case.
