Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards
HINTS have been thrown in earlier episodes of Eat Bulaga’s Kalyeserye this week that Maine Mendoza will be out of the country for a few days.
It started in last Wednesday’s episode when Maine revealed her “last condition” before she could give her “yes” to Alden Richards, her onscreen partner.
Maine said she wanted Alden to serve her loved ones especially her “lolas” when she’s not around.
In yesterday’s episode, the Kalyeserye segment started and ended without Maine. Alden was seen doing the laundry and serving Maine’s lolas portrayed by comedians Wally Bayola (Lola Nidora) and Jose Manalo (Lola Tinidora).
Fans of the love team have speculated that Maine was leaving for the US to watch the concert of her favorite band, Coldplay. The band is scheduled for a two-night concert (Aug. 20 and 21) at the Rose Bowl Stadium in California.
Around 8 p.m. last night, a photo of Maine (with a fan) at the NAIA circulated online, confirming suspicions that she was leaving Friday night. Maine was reportedly accompanied by her older sister, Coleen.
It has been revealed that during the shoot of Alden and Maine’s movie “Imagine You and Me” in Italy last May, Coldplay had a concert somewhere in Europe but Maine was unable to go due to time constraints.
Tony Tuviera, president of TAPE Inc., the producer of “Eat Bulaga” and their film reportedly gifted Maine with the plane tickets.
Meanwhile, Alden is staying in the country for his work in “Eat Bulaga” and “Sunday PINASaya” as well as to shoot scenes for the fantaserye “Encantadia” where he will appear in a few episodes as the Mulawin named Lakan.
