Tech Mighties, Dragons maintain spotless slate
The Tech Mahindra Tech Mighties and the Supportsave Dragons trampled separate opponents to remain unbeaten in the EVO League of the City Sports Club-Cebu (CSC-C) E-League for Basketball last Sunday at the CSC-C Gym.
Tech Mahindra cruised to its sixth straight win with a 63-40 dumping of the Atos Falcons, while Supportsave improved to 5-0 (win-loss) by subduing the Dyninno Raptors, 73-60.
King Luigi Olbes scored 12 points, while Roe Barongan, Kenneth Yodj Garcia, Robert Rebaño and EJ Saavedra scored at least seven markers apiece for the Tech Mighties, who staged a 14-1 run in the second quarter to lead big at the half, 37-17.
Reymund Ardiente finished with 12 markers to lead the Falcons, who stayed winless after five games.
Supporstave, on the other hand, got an outstanding performance from Niño Belande, who piled up 25 points, 23 rebounds, seven assists and a block.
Janille Kristianne Bantilan chipped in 12 points, six boards, three steals and two assists.
Ron Mabanto produced 16 points, Ignatius Loyola contributed 12 markers and Ellison Rivera had 11 in the Raptors’ fourth defeat against three victories.
Also staying undefeated in the Elite Classic were the Teleperformance All-Stars, who nipped the Accenture Sharks, 73-68.
Leading Teleperformance’s fourth straight win were Ryan Veloso, James Lester Navaja and Kevin Clark Navaja, who tallied 13, 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Marloni Gonzales and Ryan Edward Llanos tallied 16 points each for the Sharks, who tasted their third loss in six matches.
In the other Elite Classic match, the ePerformax Reds bagged their fourth victory after five starts via a 77-64 beating of the Telstra Boomerangs.
Esrom Cuizon paced the Reds with 14 points, Robert Gilo collected 13 markers and 12 rebounds, while Nolad Dela Peña added 10.
Janrie Perez came away with 15 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals for Telstra (2-5).
