The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) stepped up security in public areas in the wake of last Friday evening’s bombing in Davao City.

“Rest assured that CCPO is strictly following the order of putting our country in full alert status. All security and preventive measures will be fully implemented in the city,” Alam told reporters earlier today.

Supt. Timmar Alam, CCPO deputy director for operations, called on the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity or personality in their area.

“Let us not be quick to believing false information circulating on social media and validate reports first,” Alam said.

He said security in malls, public markets and terminals have been augmented.
