ABOUT 100 attendees, mostly aspiring athletes and coaches, were at the Cebu City Sports Club Cebu to attend a seminar dubbed “How to Build Olympians” by Olympic silver medalist weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz.

Diaz who won a silver medal in the women’s 53-kilogram weight lifting event of the Rio Olympics last month is a guest speaker along with Olympian boxer Charlie Suarez and PSC strength and conditioning trainer Jay Futalan.

They will share their experiences in the Rio Olympics and discuss scientific training programs with the attendees.

Diaz is in Cebu since last Friday and visited several weight lifting headquarters and gyms in Cebu City.

Last Saturday evening Michel Lhuillier, Cebu Provincial Sports Commission (CPSC) chairman and French honorary consul, hosted a dinner for Diaz, Suarez and Futalan.

The seminar is organized by the Epic Performance and Fitness group of strength and conditioning trainer Pio Solon.
