Mall pardons student for bomb joke

Ayala Cebu management chose to pardon the 15-year-old male student who allegedly made a bomb joke last Wednesday night.

Chief Supt. Noli Taliño, Police Regional Office chief, said the mall didn’t turn over the boy to the police. He said it would have been better if the mall pursued the charges against the boy.

Since the suspect is a minor, Taliño said they could have coordinated with Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to determine if the boy acted with discernment when he committed the offense.
