Task force to monitor Zika virus, dengue in province

THE Provincial Health Office (PHO) created a “3-in-1 task force” to prevent the increase of cases of chikungunya, dengue and zika virus in Cebu.

PHO official Dr. Niño Ismael Pastor said while there is no case of Zika virus in the province, there were five cases of chikungunya.

Even if the zika virus has a low fatality rate, Pastor still urged the public to keep cleaning their surroundings.
