THE Cebu City Marathon, one of the country’s premier long distance races, makes history as covers three cities for its 10th edition on January 8, 2017.
Dubbed as the “2017 Cebu City Tri City Marathon,” the run will now cover the cities of Mandaue and Lapu-lapu for the first time as well as Cebu City.
Organized by the Cebu Executives Runners Club (CERC) and Run Rio of Rio Dela Cruz, the marathon will pass the Marcelo Fernan Bridge for both the 21-kilometer and the 42k full marathon.
The start and finish lines are marked at the Cebu Business Park.
The CERC also decided to include a 10k category this year and the usual 5k. There will be at least 14 water stations along the route which will play Sinulog songs to keep the runners pumped up during the race.
Registration starts today. Pre-paid stubs with corresponding registration prices are available at the Ayala Center Cebu while Manila-based runners can avail of the stubs at the RUNNG in Bonifacio Global City, Toby’s SM Mall of Asia and Timex. Onsite registration is on October 10 at Ayala Center Cebu.
Early registration fee for the 42k is P1,800, P1,500 for the 21k, P900 for the 10k and P650 for the 5k which is up until October 31. Registration fees after October 31 are P2,100 for 42k, P1,800 for 21k, P1,100 for 10k and P750 for 5k.
