AFTER being appointed as the chief instructor of the Philippine Hayashiha Shitoryukai Karatedo by the main governing body of the Japan Karatedo Hayashiha Shitoryukai, Cebuano Sensei Reynante Vidal will be the main supervisor of Dumaguete City’s hosting of the 2nd Hayashiha Shitoryukai National Championships on Nov. 26-28.

The three-day tournament will also have a kobudo and kata seminar featuring international instructors ninth Dan Shihan Kenichiro Nagatomo and seventh Dan Shi han Fumihiro Ando.

Vidal is also the chief instructor of the Visayas Hayashiha Shitoryukai.

“This is our first major activity after I earned the position as chief instructor. We are hoping for the overall success of this event. Our next move will be cleaning our organization of fake and fly by night instructors who continue to give a bad name to our organization. We hope that every member club will cooperate with us in this endeavour,”said Vidal.

Around 300 competitors representing 15 member clubs will compete in the national meet coming from Cebu, Bacolod, Cagayan De Oro, Tanjay, Bayawan, Siaton, Siquijor,
Zamboanguita, Ilo-ilo, Capiz, Danao City, Bogo City and Butuan.
