Senior citizens in Cebu City to get P1,000 on Sunday
Senior citizens in Cebu City are expected to receive another P1,000 in financial assistance from the city government on Sunday.
Domingo Chavez, head of the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), said distribution will be made in the barangays on Sunday morning.
In the afternoon, city personnel would deliver the cash assistance to the homes of senior citizens, who were bedridden.
“Those who will not be able to claim their assistance on Sunday has nine working days to claim this at city hall,” he said.
The senior citizens are supposed to receive P12,000 in 2016. The release of the P1,000 on Sunday will bring to P9,000 the total amount received by the senior citizens.
The remaining P3,000 will be distributed on or before Christmas Day, said Chavez.
