A woman died after she was ran over by a ten-wheeler cement mixing truck after she fell off the motorcycle-for-hire or habal-habal she was riding around 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The incident happened along Maghaway Road, Lawaan 1, Talisay City, Cebu.

Initial investigation conducted by the Talisay City Traffic Office revealed that the woman identified as Janet Eludo, was riding a motorcycle-for-hire from Tabunok to their house in Camella Homes together with her two sons.

While on the way, Eludo fell off the motorcycle. However, the 10 wheeler cement truck that was behind the motorcycle failed to stop and hit Eludo.

Eludo was brought to Talisay City District Hospital, where she was declared dead by attending physician.

Eludo’s two sons and the driver of the motorcycle were unharmed.

According to PO1 Carlos Dicdican of the Talisay City Traffic Office, majority of the vehicles that pass by the area where the accident happened usually slow down and take their time because the area is steep.
