Suzuki to add more motorcycle dealerships in Cebu

SUZUKI Philippines is expected to add more motorcycle dealerships in Cebu in the future.

This was revealed by Suzuki motor division Sales and Marketing General Manager Jun Bulot during the Suzuki Live: A Celebration of Victory in Harmony held last Oct. 26 at the Forbes Ballroom of the plush Conrad Manila Hotel in Pasay City.

The gathering was a celebration for a successful year for Suzuki Philippines as it sold around 120,000 units in 2015. Suzuki Philippines president Hiroshi Suzuki attended the convention, which also feted the 400 plus dealers from all over the country.

According to Bulot, the Cebu market has contributed a lot in Suzuki’s overall sales achievement in the past year. He said Cebu has a market share of 16 to 17 percent, and the growth of Cebu’s market for Suzuki has been tremendous compared to other parts of the country. This is why the Japanese automaker is planning to expand here.

“We are planning to add six to 10 more Suzuki motors dealerships, including partnering network dealers in Cebu. We are planning to focus on penetrating more multibrand dealerships and shops in Cebu rather than opening another 3S shop since 3S shop primarily focuses on branding,” Bulot said.

The underbone motorcycle Suzuki Smash 115CC is the company’s sales volume model after selling 120,000 units last year.

“In terms of products, of course we will continue to maintain its high quality, and our mission is to surpass the sale of 2015.” Another highlight of the event was the launching of the Suzuki Burgman 200.

Suzuki also introduced its celebrity endorsers: Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil; Jessy Mendiola, Sofia Andres, Loisa Andalio and Iñigo Pascual.
