Police: Generally peaceful at Calamba Cemetery
The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) said the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day at the Calamba Cemetery this morning was generally peaceful, except for the case of four men who were arrested after the they were caught having a shabu sniffing session inside the cemetery.
Chief Inspector Keith Allen Andaya, Police Station 6 (Calamba) chief, said there were no other untoward incident happened in Calamba today.
But there were few prohibited items that were confiscated such as knives and alcoholic beverages.
As of noon today, police estimated that 5,000 people have visited the Calamba Cemetery.
Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO 7) director Chief Superintendent Noli Taliño, CCPO director Senior Superintendent Joel Doria and Cebu City Councilor Dave Tumulak earlier inspected the cemetery’s premises.
