Sanctuary of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus launches Phase 2


A tranquil place for prayer, the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish serves as a refuge for faithfuls who are looking for a place to pray. After 64 years, the parish was able to complete its pastoral ministry and care starting with Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Reconciliation, Marriage, and Funeral.

In order to raise funds to pay off their remaining obligations, the Sanctuary of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus was built, and its Phase 2 will start October this year. As of now, their columbary houses more than 6000 vaults, 2800 of which are already reserved and 131 of which are already occupied.

The funds collected in this project will help in the completion of Phase 2 and any and all excess proceeds are intended to support their continuing church repairs and maintenance.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish also continues to organize social and apostolic outreach programs for the poor such as our charity clinic, scholarship program, daily feeding of malnourished children, mass weddings, mass baptism, mass confirmation. In fact, they also initiated a livelihood program in Northern Cebu to rehabilitate the fishing industry ravaged by Typhoon Yolanda. The Parish has extended help to 240 fishermen by donating 120 fishing boats and fishing nets.

The niches offered under Phase 2 comprise of reasonably priced basement niches, which is located at Columbiere Hall, and their premium chapel niches, which is located at Divine Mercy Hall and St. Ignatius Loyola Hall.

The parish also offers internment basic set-up services, use of Divine Mercy Chapel, and engraving of complete name in vault. Some of their special services include vault cover replacement and cleaning or rebuffing of vaults.
