CEBUANO basketball players who are looking for their shot at playing in the UAAP will get their shot today and tomorrow as the Adamson Soaring Falcons will be holding basketball tryouts at the Capitol Parish gym along Escario Street.
The tryouts will start 9 a.m. and will last until 12 noon.
With the Falcons in the midst of a surprising resurgence in season 79 of the UAAP, head coach Franz Pumaren has tasked several of his assistants to head here in a bid to find gems for their much-improved basketball program.
Expected to be here are former PBA greats Don Allado and Renren Ritualo along with a face familiar to Cebuano basketball fans in Tonichi Yturri, the head coach of the Cebu Gems during the heyday of the defunct Metropolitan Basketball Association.
The Falcons currently have former Cesafi juniors MVP Dawn Ochea on their roster.
