OVER a hundred duathletes will converge in southwest Cebu on November 20 as they battle for fame and glory in the 1st OffRoad Toledo Adik sa Dagan (TAD) Duathlon competition in Brgy. Bato, Toledo City.

“We are expecting more than a hundred athletes from all over the Philippines to compete,” said race director Bryan Barquin of TAD Runners Club.

“We already have registrants from Davao, Leyte, Bohol, and Negros Island,” he said.

The 5km run-25km bike-5km run race which aims to promote sports tourism in Cebu, will have a ride out this Sunday starting at The Ranch Resort, parking area in Toledo City to test the route and ensure the safety of the competitors come race day.

Race proceeds will go to TAD’s charity works specifically for the purchase of school supplies for school children from Toledo’s far flung barangays.
